SYNOPSIS

When Kenya announces there will be free education for all, 84 year old Maruge shows up at the local elementary school wanting to learn to read and ends up changing the face of his country forever. The First Grader is a heartwarming and inspiring true story of one man's fight for what he believes is his right in order to overcome the burdens of his past.
